So... CJWDT(Charles John World Domination Tour).... It gonna be over and over, but the mission of CJWDT is travel, eat something regional locals eat, go to local market, get a new culinarly inspriation, get a job if there is a job I'm looking for. And if I add on two more mission, gonna be grow up as a human through a new experience and find a perfect wife!!
Anyway... the first stop, Germany..... Honestly from culinary interest or chef stand point, I was not so excited to come to Germany. Just for instance entire Germany have 9 michelin 3 star restaurants, which is less than Paris itself(10) and Berlin have no 3 star restaurant. Michelin is Michelin, I never be completely agreed with their rating, but still it surprised me.
German cuisine / cooking... sausage, postato, beer... / a bitter smile that's my first impression of German food. And here is the good source of traditional German dishes.

Since I got Germany, I've tried Bratwurst, Currywurst, Kartoffelsalat, Sauerkraut, Eisbein, Spanferkel, Schweinebraten, Labskaus, Aalsouppe and others.... when I'm on my backpack, I'm happy to eat somehting rustic & traditional or street foods for locals(not for tourlist!!). One is budget matter, the other reason is for most of people, let's say super fine dining like Alinea. it never a place we go every month, more like once or couple times a year, only a very special occasion. I want to see something what people usually eat at the place I visit. And also I'm not interesting in going michelin 3 star and spend 300bucks, one star with affordable range, I would think. Why? If I find any curious 3 michelin star restaurants, I'll knock the backdoor with my resume, cause damn it's free!! / laugh
