.... so, again I left off my blog over one month. February 1st was 3rd anniversary of this blog, but... well... I was not... 'there', just my mind was kinda... empty, so...
And.. here's something to post, I got terminated from Baume restaurant as of Februrary 2nd!! Why? Nnnn... good question!(laugh) Because am I shit as a chef?(laugh) Well.... maybe(a bitter smile), but I think.... it's not the case. I could imagine two reasons. One of the reasons, I wouldn't talk here, it's just the restaurant's own problem and shouldn't talk over here.
The other reason is simply... I was not happy working at Baume due to variety of the reasons. Let's just say I had different visions over managing the kitchen in many aspects with chef. And unfortunately that made me realized this was not right opportunity to achieve my goal on my career. Plus.... it's me, personal, but I hate living in Palo Alto...... and very frustrated the fact I lived in the U.S. where I live already over 10yrs.
So... I was unhappy... and it was obvious. The night chef asked me "Am I happy working at Baume?" My answer was "No" and chef said I should go, simply that was it. It's kinda pity that we don't talk about the reason and not trying to fix the problem, but I respect chef's decision. Over 7months I believe I could make lots of changes and take Baume to next level. I have made around 30 new dishes, it was fun as well. Here I thank you and wish best luck to chef Chemel and Baume restaurant!!
..... now self claimed "Culinary metal vagabond" free agent. The title saying: reverse to rebirth, yes... back to the road to rebirth, to get back my passion, spirit and inspiration! After deep consideration I decided to go to South America. On February 28th I'll fly to Bogota, Colombia and start my new journey.
