CJWDT: Bolivia

Final stop of CJWDT'13, Santa cruz de la sierra, Bolivia!  .... in case if some culinary nomad reading this and planning to travel to Bolivia, I have one advise.  DO NOT TAKE THE BUS FROM ASUNCION TO SANTA CRUZ!!!!  ....  which I did last wk.  Supposed to be 21hrs ride, but took me like 32hrs, bumpy road, shitty food, no toilet, barricade due to protest, bus stop middle of somewhere, more barricade, change car, hitchhike x4....  one of the WORST 32hrs in my entire life, so if you read this, you better not!!

.... anyway, yes...  Bolivia.  I have two reasons to come here, one is Gustu in La paz which is owned by co-founder of Noma.  (articles:  http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-03-08/noma-owner-opens-gustu-in-bolivia-to-replicate-no-1-copenhagen.html  /  http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2013/apr/05/noma-cofounder-new-scheme-bolivia)  and secondly there's flight from Santa cruz to my 'next' destination.  But actually I didn't send my resume to Gustu and make it to La paz.  It was simply time concern plus also I don't think I would live in Bolivia even I get the job offer.

So... I have been staying in Santa cruz for a week, go to local market, trying some local foods just usual, but primarily focusing on organize next coming up tour!  The picture above is some local eat munch.  Today is my last day in Bolivia and I will fly out tomorrow for new world tour.....

This last 3 months in South America was experience of 'dream come true'.  There was lots of 'down' moments, but just remind me how amazing to travel the world I never been.  I love Europe and Asia a lot, but this tour makes me want to travel the regions which I never been...  Africa & Middle eastern!!  My last night I will recollect all the new inspirations I had last 3 months with beer and get ready for this coming up new tour....  Bravo, South America!!
